Panel: How Creative Capital Models are Changing How and Where Investments are Made
Join Havell at the panel.
Access to capital has long been a challenge for BIPOC businesses and communities. Creative capital models, also known as alternative funding, will play an important role in addressing this longstanding problem. This session will dive into some of those models and how they are being utilized, including entrepreneurship through acquisition, character-based lending, low-interest loans, revenue-based financing, and other forms of patient capital. While these new finance vehicles offer immediate benefit to BIPOC communities, they offer promise too for addressing other “blindspots" of mainstream / traditional finance.
